Meaningful Acquisitions of Uranium Glass for a Vampire Boys Day Shooting “Undead, but Cool”

The Federal Office for Magical Creatures’ Equal Opportunities and Sects Commissioner and his husband (the monster with whom the unfortunate BAfmW employee is “blessed”) indulged in a quiet evening in front of the television. Horst Lichter’s “Bares für Rares” flickered across the screen. A set of wine glasses and a decanter made of uranium glass, which luminesces under black light, was shown.

At the office, the next fantasy shoots are being planned, under the motto “Undead, but cool”, a Werewolf Vampire Boys Day or Night is being planned in the Gothic chapel at the old cemetery in Bonn. With the help of various props and the support of a competent make-up artist, several male adolescents will be staged among the old graves and in the Gothic chapel.

The unfortunate victim saw the glasses and took a breath to make a constructive suggestion. Always in the service of photography, magic, and fatherland – of course.

Baroque Mirror Made of Uranium Glass

Monster: “No!”
Victim: “But I haven’t said anything yet!”
Monster: “You don’t have to. When you take a breath like that, it gets expensive, and something useless ends up in our house!“
Victim:” It’s not useless.“
Monster:” But expensive!” I knew it! You’re not getting glowing uranium glass wine glasses. Forget it!“
Victim:” Oh, I don’t even want them – calm down!“
Monster (alarmed):” What are you brewing?“
Victim:” I have an idea….“
Monster:” You’re scaring me….“
Victim:” We have those two big baroque frames that I gave to a glazier so he could make semi-transparent mirrors out of them. The glass will be sandblasted from behind, and then he’ll back it with blacklight LED strips to make the glass for the shoots… you know.“
Monster:” I don’t know anything about that!“
Victim:” Did I forget to tell you?“
Monster: *Grrrrrrrr**
Victim:” Oopsie….” It doesn’t matter, you know now. I wonder if we couldn’t use uranium glass for the mirrors instead of LED strips. Lit with our blacklight projectors, the vampire boys in their gothic clothes with UV lenses, white fangs placed appropriately in front, and our large candelabras with many candles….“
Monster (panicked):” What large candelabras with many candles? We don’t have anything like that?“
Victim:” Yes, we do. Eight pieces, one meter high, with five arms. It was a bargain!”
Monster: “Where did you get them?”
Victim: “Barbara recommended them to me.”
Barbara Frommann photographs for the Federal Office for Magical Creatures and is practically an inexhaustible source of good ideas. To the monster’s dismay.
Monster: “She’s getting banned! And you’d better take your Ritalin!“
Victim:” I’ve never taken Ritalin! That makes you dull and dampens creativity.”
Monster: “YOU should take it so MY nerves are spared!”

Luminescent Mirrors in Baroque Frames, Uranium Glass, and a Set of Candelabras are Always Useful.

Addendum: Today, inquiries were made with the German Glass Industry Association and various glass museums about which glassworks could produce suitable mirror glass based on uranium glass for the Sprungbrett BAfmW photo shoots. The initial responses were promising.

Casting Call for Jack Frost

We are looking for male models for a creative photoshoot with a focus on portrait and fantasy in Bonn and Wuppertal, where our makeup artists and photographers aim to portray the models as Jack Frost, a Winter Demon, or a majestic Snow King. If you are between 16 and 35 years old and have an athletic appearance, then you are the perfect fit for us! Modeling experience is not a mandatory requirement.

The photoshoot and video shoot will take place in a winter setting in the studio and require good physical fitness as well as the ability to portray various emotions and the character of an arrogant, cool, and selfish person. You should be ready to experiment with creative ideas and concepts.

If you are interested, please send us a current photo (a selfie in front of a mirror will do) and a brief description of your experience. We look forward to getting to know you and creating magical winter moments together!

Who is Jack Frost?

Ice-cold, arrogant, unaware of the dangers of the pranks he plays on others – that is Jack Frost.
Ice-cold, arrogant, unaware of the dangers of the pranks he plays on others – that is Jack Frost.

Jack Frost is a folkloric personification of winter, presumably of Anglo-Saxon and Norse origin. He is synonymous with the sudden return of cold weather and is blamed for blizzards and calamities. The American Jack Frost essentially has the same powers as the Russian Father Frost. However, their characters differ significantly: Jack Frost behaves like a child. He enjoys playing pranks, which can, however, become very dangerous and sometimes lead to people freezing. However, he is not aware of this. He is unpredictable, impatient, and irresponsible. He is therefore usually depicted as a teenager or young man.

In Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale, a boy gets an ice splinter from the Snow Queen in his eye, and his heart turns to ice. As a result, he becomes cold, cruel, and arrogant. Only the tears of his friend Gerda, who set out to rescue her friend, thaw his frozen heart, and together they flee from the Snow Queen’s realm. In Hans Christian Andersen’s version of Jack Frost, his own youth, during which he lost his parents, plays a role.

In C. S. Lewis’s Narnia novels, the character of the Snow Queen also appears, who manipulates the youngest brother of a quartet of siblings, who feels neglected, and brings him to her side as a ruler. He also undergoes a transformation and returns redeemed to his siblings.

Focus on Portrait Photography

The focus of the next model photoshoot is on portrait and fantasy.
The focus of the next model photoshoot is on portrait and fantasy.

For the photoshoot, if the weather cooperates in January or February, background shots will take place in the wintery surroundings of the Rheinaue in Bonn. However, the main focus is on portrait shots, as it presents an interesting challenge for our make-up artists to combine the attributes of ice, snow, and cold with youthful arrogance, emotional coldness, and masculine attractiveness and to bring them out in an atmospheric portrait.

We are looking for models who are able to immerse themselves in the characters of Jack Frost, a Winter Demon, or a Snow King. This requires various poses and forms of expression to portray the emotional depth of these characters. This also includes an intensive effort from our make-up artists to reinterpret the fantasy character Jack Frost each time to suit the respective model. In the setting, the colors white and blue predominate. Likewise, a scepter, a crown with floral elements and crystals, as well as a throne are part of the setting. And we experiment with special effects in the video.

The exact details regarding the location and date will be communicated to the selected models in good time. We value creative collaboration – not just for this fantasy photoshoot – and welcome fresh ideas and interpretations of the characters.

With parental permission, U18 models may also participate in the photoshoot.
With parental permission, U18 models may also participate in the photoshoot.

So, if you are interested, don’t hesitate to apply!

For U18 models, it is naturally required that written parental consent is provided. A parent may, of course, be present at the photoshoot and video shoot. A model contract will specify how the images will be used. Each model will receive a selection of the images for free use.

What Happens to the Images and Recordings?

The resulting images and video sequences for the Jack Frost project will be used on the portal of the publishing house Federal Office for Magical Creatures and their social media for content related to fantasy and literature. A charity calendar project for the year 2026 is also under discussion.

Send us a brief application by January 30, 2025, with a selfie and your clothing sizes for shirts, pants, and shoes to shooting@fantasy-model.de

Unleash the Demon: when Louis Cypher Jr. Is at the Door

We wanted to portray the seducer, the demon. The bad boy from hell who captivates the family’s son or daughter. Appearing self-confident, somewhat scornful and cold, and having emerged directly from the flames of hell, he stands at the door, confidently demanding entry.

For this motif, we brought the Belgian model Shawn Lambrechts in front of the camera for an introductory shoot. Shawn plays basketball and, at 1.92 m, is an impressive figure. He has experience as a model and completed the shoot with great commitment.

We are continuing to work on the concept of a charity calendar, similar to the calendars of the Australian fire brigade, in which athletically trained young men confidently present themselves. And an official calendar from the Federal Office for Magical Creatures will naturally feature appropriately styled and staged vampires, demons, werewolves, and elves.

The Perfect Setting for a Bloody Fantasy Shoot

When we plan a fantasy shoot with one of our male models, for example, for the upcoming official calendar of the Federal Office for Magical Creatures, we naturally discuss with our photographers how to best showcase and stage the respective model.
Various backgrounds are available in the photo studios of our photographers Barbara Frommann and Niels Brähler. A simple white or black background is used, for example, for product shoots and to get to know the model. Some boys are in front of the camera for the first time and are first explained and shown how to pose.

And then… yes, and then, if the chemistry with the model is right, we’ll discuss together which setting is ideal to optimally portray the model in their role.
In this case, we are planning a fantasy shoot in Gothic/Victorian style. A vampire, lying on a sofa, and in front of him, cowering on the floor, his rather willing victim, exhausted and at the same time blissfully enjoying the erotic vampire bite. Almost the vampire version of “The cigarette after…”

This is roughly what the setting for a fantasy shoot with a vampire and his victim should look like.
This is roughly what the setting for a fantasy shoot with a vampire and his victim should look like.

For this, we looked for a background. We found one that showed a black chandelier, several candelabras, and a black sofa in front of a wall with a black and red gradient. The scenario was framed by two black curtains. All very stylish, all perfectly suited as a scenario for a vampire staged as a Victorian aristocrat. The mood expressed in the horror novella about Lord Ruthven is what we have in mind. Back then, vampires didn’t sparkle yet. (Although our vampire boys are certainly allowed to sparkle if they want to. You have to move with the times, and vampires also have their coming out.)

The Background for the Fantasy Shoot

And yet… somehow this background wasn’t enough for us. After all, our models are elaborately dressed in suitable textiles from Devilnight or Boudoir Noir and, if necessary, receive a custom-made vampire denture from the alphabite dental laboratory. And then a simple photo background with fake furniture and depicted candelabras? A no-go!
The manufacturer of the background was contacted, as they also offer the possibility of having suitable backgrounds made to order. We inquired whether it was possible to get the background without the depicted furniture. Unfortunately no, we were told. In this case, it was not possible.

The template for a bloody black background, in front of which a fantasy shoot is to take place.
The template for a bloody black background, in front of which a fantasy shoot is to take place.

So we commissioned a graphic designer via fiverr to create a print-ready template with the bloody black color gradient.
Well… and the rest? The rest causes discussions in the production team between the producer and his husband, who keeps an eye on budgets for model shoots. Accordingly, the husband is sometimes the “best of all” or “the budget monster I (the producer) am married to”.

Discussion with the Budget Monster

Producer: “Look!”

Budget Monster: “What are you up to now?”

Producer: “Take a look at this photo background for the fantasy shoot with our male models. What do you think of it?”

Budget Monster: “Horrible! Don’t tell me you ordered that thing?! Please, tell me you didn’t order that?”

Producer: “Of course not. I would never do such a thing!”

Budget Monster: “Thank God. I thought…”

Producer: “I got a print-ready template without furniture from an illustrator. This can be used to create the photo background for the fantasy shoot. And imagine, I was able to organize a black crystal chandelier with black light bulbs. It’s already fully assembled in Niels Brähler’s photo studio. Isn’t that great?”

Budget Monster: *Coughing fit*

Producer: “And – hold on tight – I found four five-armed black-lacquered candlesticks and forty red-black taper candles that drip red when burned! Isn’t that awesome for a fantasy shoot with a vampire? But the best is yet to come!”

Budget Monster: “I dread to think…”

Producer: “In Gelsenkirchen, I found a furniture manufacturer who has suitable sofas. In the most pompous Baroque style with a touch of 5th Neo-Rococo and a dash of deuxième Neo-Empire à la Napoleon III. – absolutely insane! You can’t imagine!”

Budget Monster: “Since we got married, I’ve seen many things I couldn’t have imagined in my darkest nightmares before our marriage. And you keep topping it!”
Producer: “Isn’t that nice?”

Budget Monster: “No, that’s not nice!”

It’s not always easy to implement creative model and fantasy shoots. But we’re working on it.

OnlyFans: a Platform in Transition

OnlyFans is an online platform founded in 2016, originally intended as a way to sell content directly to fans. Over time, however, the portal has changed significantly and is now primarily known as a platform where content creators, especially from the adult entertainment sector, offer their content for a fee.

How Does OnlyFans Work?

OnlyFans allows content creators to offer monthly subscriptions, through which fans gain access to exclusive content. This content can include photos, videos, livestreams, or personalized messages. The price for a subscription is set by the respective creator and typically ranges between $5 and $50 per month. In addition to subscriptions, fans have the option to pay for special content or personal interactions such as messages or custom videos.

Target Audience and Content Diversity

Although OnlyFans is often associated with adult content, the platform also offers a wide range of other content. Many content creators use the platform to share fitness tips, recipes, music, art, and much more. The target audience of OnlyFans is therefore very diverse, ranging from fitness enthusiasts to artists to people looking for exclusive and personalized content.

Controversies and Criticism

OnlyFans has repeatedly been the subject of controversy, primarily due to the increase in adult content. This has led to discussions about the protection of minors and the ethical implications of selling intimate content. In 2021, OnlyFans briefly announced that it would ban all explicit content from the platform, which led to an outcry from both content creators and users. However, this decision was quickly reversed after a massive decline in user numbers.

Economic Opportunities for Content Creators

For many content creators, OnlyFans represents a lucrative source of income. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of users and content creators on the platform increased significantly. Some top creators earn millions monthly, showing that OnlyFans can be an opportunity for creative and entrepreneurial individuals to become financially independent.

Future Prospects and Developments

The plan is to continue diversifying and attracting more creators from other areas. The platform could introduce new features in the future to reach a broader user base and reduce its dependence on adult content. It remains to be seen how OnlyFans will continue to evolve in a constantly changing digital environment.

Conclusion

OnlyFans is a platform that offers a lot of room for creativity and entrepreneurial thinking, but it also faces ethical and legal challenges. Despite the controversies, the platform has established itself as an important player in the world of content creation and offers exciting opportunities for those willing to monetize their content in a new way.

When Male Models have questions about a Model Shoot

When we approach potential male models for a fantasy-style shoot, fundamental questions arise, to which we naturally have answers.

Where and when will the photoshoot take place?

Every one of our male models has to try it on, because the Twilight fan shirt is iconic. Singer and actor Sebastian von Kempin as a Twilight fanboy. (Photo: Barbara Frommann)

Photoshoots usually take place in Bonn or Wuppertal-Vohwinkel. We arrange the date with each of our male models. We are happy to consider follow-up bookings for successful collaborations.

Are outfits and styling provided?

Outfits and styling are provided. This includes necklaces and bracelets from Drippy Amsterdam. Vampires are allowed to sparkle with us. 🙂 The textiles come from Incerunmen and Boudoir Noir, an online shop for dark fashion, gothic, and Victorian style.
We also have specialists, including a supplier of custom-made mermaid fins. One shoot will be with a model who wants pictures as a male mermaid for his OnlyFans account. The mermaid fin will be combined with jockstraps, and he will get body painting. Then we’ll go to the Rhine with him. That will be a very gay shoot. 🙂 And it will be fun.
We’re doing a second shoot with Jinthe Martens in the fall. Our dentist took a dental impression, and the dental lab alphabite is making a custom-made werewolf/vampire denture for this male model.

Will a hairdresser/makeup artist be available?

Of course, a makeup artist, makeup artist, and/or hairdresser will be available. We work with Shideh Nikoukhessal (hair/makeup), Corinna Lenzen (for body painting), and Emilia Keil (hair/makeup). The photos will be taken by press photographer Barbara Frommann or one of the other photographers from the Sprungbrett BAfmW project

Sprungbrett BAfmW Values Long-Term Cooperation with its Male Models

Could you elaborate on the specific vision and mood you want to capture in the photos?

We want to stage our male models, similar to Jinthe Martens, very masculinely as a werewolf or another fantasy creature, such as a vampire, demon, or Jack Frost. But also a bit erotically. I’ll formulate an exaggerated cliché now. We have a lot of humor:
“The basic idea is to portray a young man on his bike as cool, self-confident, aware of his attractiveness, and dominant. He stands by who he is. He knows what he is. Everything else rolls off him, and he knows it doesn’t affect him. If someone bothers him, he might raise an eyebrow or twitch a corner of his mouth. He calmly dismisses it as ‘The toad farts, the caravan moves on’ and does his own thing. He takes the freedom that is due to him – beyond excessive wokeness and nagging political correctness. He doesn’t swing a string of lights; he solves the problem and takes responsibility. And he also knows that he is attractive to both other boys and girls. It doesn’t bother him. The Teenwolf Bikerboy doesn’t call for leadership; he leads. He is the alpha whom the sun asks if it may rise.”

But we also have other settings in planning. These include normal product shoots for clothes in hip-hop style, vintage look, military look, Victorian style, or urban streetwear, as well as sportswear.

Whether it’s a flashy demon in tight pants, a cool vampire in an elegant business look, or a genie in harem pants – there are no limits to fantasy when it comes to showcasing male models attractively and humorously and conducting creative shoots around the theme of male beauty.

For the filming of an episode of Germany's Greatest Secrets, male model Sascha Vaegs received a body painting with two layers of gold glitter.
For the filming of an episode of Germany’s Greatest Secrets, male model Sascha Vaegs received a body painting with two layers of gold glitter.

How long is the photoshoot expected to last?

We are assuming a full day. If, for example, body painting is part of the shoot, the preparations alone will take several hours.

Of course, we arrange a hotel near us for every one of our male models who has a longer journey. After a long day of work, we wouldn’t think it’s right for someone to get tired into the car to drive home.

How will the photos be used, and do I have the option to use them for my own portfolio?

We would like to use the photos for our own press work and for our websites. We are also working on the concept of a charity calendar. Similar to the Australian Firefighters, but with us, it won’t be firefighters with six-packs, but male models styled as attractive vampires, werewolves, and demons. Seductive, sexy, masculine.

Of course, the resulting photos can also be used for your own portfolio as a model. Every model who participates in one of our shoots receives a selection of the resulting pictures.

We always have projects that we want to support. Most recently, we sent medicines, bandages, shirts, hoodies, and zippers to Ukraine. The Federal Office for Magical Creatures project is not about getting rich.

Will I be offered compensation for my participation in this photoshoot?

The male models Jinthe Martens, Shawn Lambrechts, and also Sascha Vaegs, as well as Johannes Lima, received a pre-agreed fee for their participation in the photoshoots and filming, and we arranged the hotel for both. Of course, each of our male models receives a selected photo series for their own use. We list them as cooperation partners on our Instagram page, our two websites Bundesamt für magische Wesen and Sprungbrett BAfmW.

There, we introduce all the models we work with. If you search for Jinthe Martens or Sascha Vaegs on Google, you’ll quickly find our highly ranked links to articles, pictures, etc. Our pages are SEO-optimized, and our models are very well found.

Interested agencies or companies also have the option to contact each model directly and book them. Sprungbrett BAfmW is not an agency, but we believe we can help one or the other freelancer become better known.

Male Beauty Meets Fantasy – Cool Guys and Their Bikes

We noticed Jinthe Martens, a young male model from Belgium, on his Instagram account. We asked Jinthe if he could imagine trying out a shoot on a bike in front of our photographer Barbara Frommann’s camera and being staged as an attractive werewolf. He could, and we agreed with him on what our makeup artist would do with him, how she would style him, and what setting would be suitable.

From the outset, it was clear that it was about Male Beauty meets Fantasy, but staged humorously and playing with clichés.

Male Beauty: Werewolf Boys on a Suzuki are Cool – What else?

Werewolf boys on a bike are cool - what else? (Photo: Barbara Frommann)
Werewolf boys on a bike are cool – what else? (Photo: Barbara Frommann)

It should appear cool and passively aggressive at the same time. This question should invisibly hang in the air: “Dude, do you have a problem?” But at the same time, it should be clear that there is something to discover behind the coolness.

The werewolf, at least the variant appearing in newer fantasy novels and series like Teenwolf, no longer comes across as a bloodthirsty monster, but as powerfully masculine, hands-on, and protective of his pack, his (chosen) family, and friends.

The basic idea is to portray a young man on his bike as cool, self-confident, aware of his attractiveness, and dominant. He stands by who he is. He knows what he is. Everything else rolls off him, and he knows it doesn’t affect him. If someone bothers him, he might raise an eyebrow or twitch a corner of his mouth. He calmly dismisses it as “The toad farts, the caravan moves on” and goes about his business. He takes the freedom that is due to him – beyond excessive wokeness and nagging political correctness. He doesn’t wave a string of lights; he solves the problem and takes responsibility. And he also knows that he is attractive to both other guys and girls. It doesn’t bother him. The Teenwolf-Bikerboy doesn’t ask for leadership; he leads. He is the alpha whom the sun asks if it may rise.

Werewolf on Bike

A strong role that every teenager can identify with, which is why the werewolf motif is very popular in fantasy literature. At the same time, he does not stand for an overly sensitive demeanor. The alpha of a wolf pack does not wave a string of lights and doesn’t annoy people with Kumbaya my Lord. His presence dominates the scene and makes others yield. He just acts; he doesn’t talk.

And he rebels; there’s a bit of James Dean in him. Werewolves are fast and wild, which is why a motorcycle belongs to the theme of “Male Beauty meets Fantasy”.

An Internship as a Male Model for Dark Fashion

A mother, who was a guest at one of our events with the Nazi contemporary witness Ivar Buterfas-Frankenthal with her family, asked a few weeks later if her 15-year-old son Frederik Schrade could do an internship with us. We called back, the boy was directly on the phone and received a commitment to participate in the next model shoot, specifically as a male model.

But before that, a joint meeting at our office was scheduled, because we naturally discuss a model shoot with a teenager with their legal guardians.

Internship as a Male Model in Victorian Style

What motif will be chosen, in what environment and at what time will the model shoot take place? The boy should feel comfortable, have fun, and learn something. He should – that is the purpose of the Parents@Work internship series at Collegium Josephinum, where he attends school – gain insight into the professions of photographer and make-up artist with us.

First, a visit to Boudoir Noir, an online shop for Gothic and Dark Fashion, was on the agenda. It initially took some persuasion, as Gothic style is not his usual attire. But that’s also what an internship is about: trying something unfamiliar, mastering a initially strange situation, and trying out a new role. Frederik had chosen some shirts and trousers that would transform him into a cool young vampire in a dark, elegant Victorian style.

Result: We now have a male model. And Frederik Schrade can imagine continuing to model. As a holiday or student job, for example for Urban Street Style, but also for further fantasy shoots.

Sascha Vaegs, who poses here as a Golden Angel, had previously done a full-body painting with gold glitter, which is how we became aware of him. For the BAfMW, a posing as a gold-glittering angel in the Old Cemetery among the graves was suitable.

The full-body painting with two layers of gold glitter was very elaborate. Sascha Vaegs spent about five hours under the hands of makeup artist Corinna Lenzen until he glittered golden.

Golden Angel Oversees Vampire Teenagers

There he keeps an eye on the young vampires, acting as a guardian angel for the vampire teens, who, in a scene for the filming of an episode of “Germany’s Greatest Secrets” about the Federal Office for Magical Creatures, are harassed by a mad priest.

And then there are a few police officers who want to handcuff him, although some of the uniformed guys are not entirely of this world either. But the Bonn police are very inclusive; there’s also room for the occasional werewolf in the riot police unit.

Sprungbrett BAfmW is looking for male models, whether newcomers or part-time models, who are interested in testing their modeling potential in a fantasy shoot in front of the camera. If interested, send an inquiry to bewerbung(at)bundesamt-magische-wesen.de.

Test Shots for the Official Calendar with Vampire Vixen

One of the most amusing fantasy shootings we have ever conducted was a partially erotic shooting, which we organized with Sascha Vaegs, a participant of the gay dating show Prince Charming, at the studio of Barbara Frommann.

In the project Federal Office for Magical Creatures, to which Launchpad BAfmW belongs, we have long been toying with the idea of conceiving a charity calendar, similar to the calendars of the Australian Firefighters. There are always projects or individuals whose work we at the BAfmW would like to support.

Vampire Vixen in the Official Calendar

Be it that an apprentice wants to finance their driver’s license through a model shooting as a werewolf, or we simply want to give recognition to an exemplary wheelchair athlete, or send our stock of shirts and hoodies towards Ukraine, the BAfmW would also like to help whenever possible.

A charity calendar with a mix of fun in fantasy and male beauty is the idea we want to implement, and for that, we approached Sascha Vaegs, a former competitive water polo player who now works as a professional model. He agreed and gave us a very amusing posing as a gay Vampire Vixen in clubwear and underwear, so much so that our photographer Barbara Frommann could barely work behind the camera from laughing. Clichés can be fun, and Sascha Vaegs presented us with a mix of gay clichés combined with erotic fashion from Incerunemen.
